Forever Stevie

My mister and I at the "Meet & Greet" with Alaska Thunderfuck
after her show, "Stevie Forever".

Alaska Thunderfuck's "Stevie Forever" show was absolutely brilliant. We had great seats (right in front of her microphone) with great company. I'm a huge Stevie Nicks fan (...as well as Janis Joplin - definitely born in the wrong era as far as my musical tastes go), and Alaska channeled in all of Stevie's magic!

...still gotta figure out why my camera is making everyone so damned pink!

Terminally Delightful

My mister and I at the "Meet & Greet" after BenDeLaCreme's
show "Terminally Delightful".

Yes, Drag Queens are my guilty pleasure (sans the guilt). We all had such an absolutely wonderful time at the show. I couldn't possibly think of a better way to spend an evening than filling it with friends, laughter, music, camp, apple martinis, and a terminally delightful queen.

On another note... someone please remind me to turn the flash back on on my cellphone so that the next round of pictures aren't so pinkified!

YouTube Treasures: Jinkx Monsoon ~ Coffee & Wine

"Meet & Greet" at The Inevitable Concert with Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales.

Once again, another amazing evening filled with song, laughter and cocktails. Jinkx and Major performed songs from their recently released "The Inevitable Album" (available on iTunes). I have absolutely fallen in love with their cabaret-styled shows, and can't seem to ever get enough of them now. My only regret (and it's a minor one) is that they didn't perform "Witchcraft". It's always been one of my favorite songs. Other than that, my husband and I were simply blown away by their show. Jinkx has a wondrous voice is simply such a natural performer.

On another note: The "Meet & Greet" area had, apparently, recently been repainted an overwhelming shade of pink at the Beechman. It, unfortunately, seems to make everything and everyone else within it also appear to be the same shade of pink. The effects, thankfully, were not permanent and Brighton and I returned to our natural hues shortly after leaving the area.

Jinkx Monsoon & Major Scale: Unwrapped

"Meet & Greet" at Unwrapped with Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales.

...not a surprise that their holiday show was another brilliant performance!
My mister and I had a wonderful time (again)!

Yes, I am officially hooked on drag queens. They're magic.

The Vaudevillians ~ Take Two!

"Meet & Greet" at The Vaudevillians with Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales.

"Meet & Greet" at The Vaudevillians with Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales.
We loved The Vaudevillians so much the first time, we just had to go again!
Once again... absolutely fantabulous!

Red for Filth...

Alaska Thunderfuck in "Red for Filth" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre
August 10, 2013

I had no idea what to expect from Alaska Thunderfuck, but I figured that as long as I had a steady supply of apple martinis I'd have a blast regardless. Brighton and I had gotten tickets for her show, "Red For Filth", on this past Saturday in New York a few weeks back cause I really wanted to get a taste of all three of my favorite Rupaul's Drag Race comedy queens (Pandora Boxx and Jinkx Monsoon being my other two). I seriously did not know Alaska could sing! She was magnificent. Truly. From her crimson-chic sashay onto the stage to her bloodied tumble off of it... she was dangerous... flawless... and absolute genius.

The Vaudevillians

The Vaudevillians starring Jinkx Monsoon as "Kitty Witless",
and Major Scales as "Dr. Dan Von Dandy" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre
July 14, 2013

"Meet & Greet" at The Vaudevillians with Jinkx Monsoon and Major Scales.
I have been looking forward to seeing The Vaudevillians ever since I picked up a set of tickets for Brighton and I about a month ago. Absolutely brilliant!! We laughed so hard, tears were streaming down our faces most of the night! Positively spectacular performances!! The highlights of the evening for me included: (a) watching Jinkx stick her fingers in Brighton's mouth and check his teeth like a horse, (b) Jinkx taking a sip from my apple martini, and (c) their rendition of "I Will Survive" had me howling!

I am so very grateful for the incredible gift of music and laughter that was shared with us. I would so jump at the chance to watch them again.

YouTube Treasures: Pandora Boxx

Pandora Boxx in "Lick This Box" at the Laurie Beechman Theater in NYC.
May 24, 2013

The appletinis I had that night were so good, they apparently effected my boyfriend's photography skills! >cough< Thanks to those appletinis, the above picture is the only really clear one we have, but it goes without saying that we had an amazing time! Pandora was absolutely hysterical! I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to see her perform live... even if I did leave my cell phone there and had to go back to pick it up the next day after work. Damn martinis.

Since, I don't have any more pictures, I will leave you with a few Pandora Boxx YouTube Treasures:

Her Jan Brady impersonation just kills me.
